A Pulse
Lately,
my soul wonders
if it still has
a pulse.
And I…
Breathe…
through every turn
of the knife
that cuts into
the spirit
Grimace…
at the pain
and smile to the
one who seeks
to hack away
the ideas
Dance….
away from the granite
hearts of smaller minds
that do not see
what is in front of them
and calling
their names
Defy…
the dark and coldness
that will not live
in the light
of beautiful things
that spring
from my
imagination.

ah, another great one. Breathe, grimace, dance, defy, exactly what you have to do when you face a tough situation (if you know what I mean)
indeed i do know what you mean. thank you for being such a friend, kim.

I like this one too, I like the message too .
“Granite hearts of smaller minds”…… yes, I think that’s about my challenge number one in life. Sometimes I just run out of the love required to deal with people at that stage in their lives.
Excellent choice of words throughout, has to be one of my favourites…..
you put it in such a sweet way - running out of the love required to deal with people at that stage - one of the things i love about you, spaz.

Nice. It reminded me of Hurt, by NIN.
thanks - i don’t know NIN’s ‘hurt’ but i know it’s a compliment.

I like it…and I like that it talks to me. Do you find yourself re reading things at a later date and gleaning more from them then you did at the time of writing? I often go back over older things and think to myself “WOW, never realised that bugged me so much” or “GEE, did I sure percieve it all wrong” or anyone of half a dozen responses that would suggest I have no clue as to whats going on in my own mind at any given point in time…
Ok I’ll stop dribbling now. Will be back for a proper read once we are back online at home!!
Cheers, Kelly
yes, i really do go back to reread things and have a different response than the original. i think too when you are in the throes of creating something your focus is on that which you seek to explain or illucidate - sometimes it is much further into the future that you actually notice the result of that explanation. know what i mean?
oh you weren’t dribbling. i hope you get your connection soon - miss you both.
love,
sarah
I adore the illustration with this one.
thank you, jane and welcome.
