Nice one and great pic! Also after seeing greedily I couldn’t help an internal rhyme with ’seedily’ as watermelons always are .
Where are the days where I had the time and patience to make necklaces out of watermelon seeds? Sigh….
we don’t get seeded watermelons out here anymore. in a way i miss them, since as a child, i developed a real skill of watermelon seed spitting. i never made a watermelon seed necklace - that sounds like fun. yet another thing we can do when we have that beer in that pub, yes? sarah
What watermelon? What haiku? All I see is a litte GIRL!!! (Mom of 4 boys lol) Sarah…It’s beautiful. I don’t always know what to say about your lovely writing…but I’m always loving it. *hugs* Ali
hi ali!
do you think it’s a girl? i couldn’t tell. he/she is certainly precious and one after my own heart. watermelon lovers are alright with me. i love yours too.
sarah
Dang does that watermelon look good. I can just feel the juice running down my face. It is the second best juice for running down my face that I can think of. YUM!!!
it does look perfect, doesn’t it? how about corn on the cob with all the butter running everywhere and getting all over your face - love that myself. yum, indeed. sarah
great pic, pity we have freezing cold conditions and rain. My watermelon is actually sitting in the fridge, I’m thinking twice about having a go at it- it’s two weeks old and a little mushy
oh yes, i keep forgetting that your seasons are the opposite of ours. two weeks old and mushy…i don’t think i’d eat it if i were you - maybe offer it to the scary lady who lives next door? sarah
Lovely.
thank you, ben!
