It’s great that you are able to have a garden. I’d love one if only I had the time…….sigh. For anything these days. I loved the pic you put with the haiku very fitting. kim
hi kim,
you know a garden isn’t really a lot of work. you water 5 minutes a day and weed 30 minutes a week & you get veggies all season just for that small contribution. my plots are actually very small, but i pack in everything and get a good yield. you might try a couple of patio pots with tomatoes and cucumbers, they grow easily and their yield is pretty good, even in pots.
Hm…. reading your lines I feel inspired to try one again some time….. and am longing for the weekend.
i love my garden and i suppose i don’t mind who knows it. i suppose not everyone derives the same pleasure i would - but i can see you really enjoying it. there is something wonderful about making things grow. magical.

Isn’t there something cathartic about your hands toiling the earth…whether flowers or vegetables…the simplicity of the calm of gardening….and you brought it to me with your beautiful description.
hi ali,
yes it is. i always find peace in my garden.

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting. — ee cummings
Soaking joy- the very definition of Saturdays.
