Green tomatoes wait
glorious globes born of earth
dream of red glory.

You’re making my mouth water. So yummy. Tomatoes or dahmaturs as we’ve said before, are so good. My favorite politically incorrect fruit that poses as a vegetable :) . kim

    oh kimmy,
i check them everyday to see if they are red yet. i love home-grown dahmaturs - and i really love dahmatur sandwiches with lots of mayo on whole grain bread. i’ve been so lucky this year with the garden, it’s just growing like a happy-happy child and the weather has been perfect.

To quote an old country tune, ‘There’s only two things that money can’t buy and that’s true love and home grown tomatoes.

as always, my sage friend, you are right on the money.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Seeing the picture helped the imagery of the green tomato waiting to ripen. Green has also inspired my writing. Greetings! tuttysan

    Loved it.
And am now even more convinced to fill that empty pot with a tomato plant.
We are a little behind you see…….

    spaz,
it’s never too late for tomatoes. fill that pot, you’ll be glad you did.

Ah, you’re better than the other haikuist I know.

hmmm, i wonder who you mean. no matter - each writer has their own style, yes?
