Butterfly

I followed you
with camera
and ever-roaming eye.
You flew away
on guilded wings
as if you owned the sky.
I, patient in
the sunshine
waited for your return.
In dappled light
and sweet greenery
your secret golden urn.
When the time came
to lumber to my feet
and for me to get along.
You swooped right in
on the gentle wind
and finished nature’s song.

Well the black & white is the blog here!
Love the poem, and good job catching the butterfly!
Deborah
thanks, deborah. i’d like to visit your blog - how can I find you?

That is a big flutterby, beautiful.
The poem is lovely, its rhyme feels organic and smooth.
he is a beauty, isn’t he? i took the picture myself.

OK, so maybe it is about a butterfly. But it can be read in a different way. Loooong ago I had a girlfriend that used to “follow me with camera and ever-roaming eye”. You see how I understand it?
well, as they say, redrivie - ‘perception is reality’ as for me, i much prefer stalking butterflies with cameras, men are not nearly as pretty nor graceful. btw, i took that picture and the poem is about how i managed to get it. thanks for reading.

I really loved this.
It suited me today if that makes sense.
I have a few more comments, I shall send you an email if you like. Let me know.
