Today

Today I woke up singing
without one single thought.
Have I finally found that thing
that’s had me in its knot?
The sound was so delightful
the words I didn’t know
And images of daffodils
were laughing in the snow
I wish I could remember
the words I sang today
For later times and future ryhmes
to hold my doubts at bay
Today I woke up singing
without that cold dull ache
I wonder when tomorrow comes
what sound my soul will make

You have no idea what that just did to me. Really, like daffodils in the snow, it can’t get much better than yet, calming, pure, innocent snow and fiery, bright, passionate yellow.
Love it Sarah, even more than the great lines, I love what shines from underneath! Like daffodils in the snow……
hi spaz,
sarah
i should have known you would love that image. i love it too. in fact, daffodils are my birth flowers and as a child i used to look for them coming up through the snow - sometimes, i even saw them.

This could be about my life right now…
This is wonderful Sarah, right now I’m kicking myself up the ass for being so slack and only just visiting now. Look at all the wonderful writing I’ve missed! Thank goodness for archives hehehehehe
Cheers, Kelly
