If I Were…

Posted at 1:40 pm under original fiction

To write you a poem
I would write it
in a cerulean sky
I would send it
from the shadowed moon
I would hide it
among scattered stars
Shelter it in
sea-green eyes
And it would
spiral
toward the Sun
broadcast
as fractured
Light
and prism
in your
Dreams

    a cerulean sky
    sea-green eyes

Simply smashing. I am dizzy from drinking in this piece.

    Wow.
Where did that all come from?
Shooting through the universe like a burning comet.
    Beautiful.
    Mystical.
    Playful.
    Me loves it.
    Plain and simple.

    hi spaz,
well the inspiration came quickly, i’ll admit - perhaps that was the whooshing sound you heard, rather than a comet? thank you, dear for the nice adjectives. ;)

    Delightful poem, Sarah.
Concise, but filled with meaning (feeling) - Exactly what a poem should be. I am a sky lover, and hunger for words/music about that love. You will find some cerulean in my web gallery.

    hello harvey,
i did indeed find some cerulean in your web gallery. very nice.
