Wagging Tongues
Wagging tongues tempting the knife
hearts thudding in gossipy malice
sing-song
twittering in the ether
hiding in the hallways
sneaking through back doors
careful not to make a sound
shhhhh
covetous eyes
produce the desired image
it gluts on spite and sends it
to the take-out counter
for further
conSumption
never knowing it chews their own
asses whilst their backs are turned

I wondered what that was biting my ass.
Man does this strike home, not so much on my part but a few of those at work have tongues that move so much I swear if we could harness that energy we could power the country
isn’t that the truth, eh? you’d think people had better things to do, wouldn’t you?

Sing song. I loved that bit - sing song. I almost sung it bitchly as I re read this, I smiled and re-read again and sung sing song in a soft lullabye type tone.
I do love talk myself, talk, talk, talk, wagging tongues is talk of a different type tho isn’t.
Thank you sarah

hi sherma,
sarah
a little satire goes a long way, i think. no, the subject isn’t all that funny, is it? still, we can laugh at it.
