Pieces of you
Old trees and mountains
wise and timeless
Pick up trucks and road trips
of dusty meanderings
The magic light that
paints the image
Evening rains that sing
me to sleep
Morning sun that lifts
me from dreams
Railroad tracks and roadmaps
treasures that hide in the woods,
waiting
The sky from your eyes
the quiet you give
the breeze that knows
your name

A lulling, sensual ode to Nature. Enjoyed.
hello cynthia,
yes, nature is a lovely thing - isn’t it. as well as what comes naturally to us.

One of the things I love most about poetry is the moment. It’s one moment. Just one, where a poet feels something, hears something, sees something, learns something either about life in general or themselves. You’ve captured your moment so well. Described it eloquently. Beautiful. “the breeze that knows your name”. Fabulous.

wow kim, your comment is like a little poem in itself. in fact, i think it’s inspiring a poem right now. thank you for always saying the best things.
