Open Book
I have no method of writer divine
No savvy technique that I define
Just simple thoughts from my heart
No secret sage to impart
I write the words that come to me
Without judging meaning or symmetry
simply state what I find true
And hope like hell it speaks to you
My book is open for all to see
no poet’s guise to shelter me
My pardigm is just my view
My eyes are yours for looking through

This may be the best poem you’ve ever written. I love it. And you know why I love it.

Haha,
me like this one.
Should use it for when Smith shows up to inspire me to do better (more ‘real’ poetry).
Well said my friend, well said.
hmm, seems smith has little room to talk about poetry since he writes precious little these days - which is a crime right there if you ask me. glad you liked the poem.

It’s gorgeous, and it seems like fate that rhymes fall into place as if to ratify thoughts that are eternal…
hi tom!
perhaps it is fate - i never thought of it that way - but sometimes, yes, rhymes do just land right on the page without effort, don’t they?

Adorable Sarah, especially like; my eyes are
yours for looking through.
hi cynthia,
it is true, isn’t it? that we are just the eyes that the reader looks through? i love that idea.
